Meet Dr. Mitch Piacsek

Dr. Mitchell PiacsekDr. Mitchell Piacsek graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Marquette University in 2019. He was a member of the prestigious Pre-Dental Scholars Program, allowing him to combine his senior year of undergraduate studies with his first year of dental school at Marquette University. While in dental school, he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society and Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honor Society and won several awards for his research on dental pulp stem cells. He graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2023 as salutatorian of his dental school class.

Dr. Piacsek was excited to escape the cold weather of Wisconsin and move to Charleston after dental school for his three-year postgraduate orthodontic residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. While in residency, he earned numerous awards for his research on bone remodeling and co-authored several publications in scientific and clinical journals. Dr. Piacsek graduated as chief resident with his Master of Science in Dentistry and orthodontic certificate from MUSC in 2026.

Dr. Piacsek is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), Southern Society of Orthodontists (SSO), and South Carolina Association of Orthodontists (SCAO).

Outside the office, Dr. Piacsek enjoys hanging out with family and friends, spending time outdoors, working out, and trying new restaurants.
